With the uprise of students stepping up and speaking out on racial stereotypes and injustices in a community, five Ladue high school students spoke with me about the problems and stereotypes they face everyday. Similar to I, Too, Am Harvard, Ladue View presents I, Too, Am Ladue.

Ferguson Football
|
McCluer North is a high school located in the Ferguson Florissant School District. McCluer North, historically, is home to many great athletics, football in particular. With a new coach, McCluer North was on to a great start for their 2014 season. However with the unrest in Ferguson, the team could not practice at home, because of the unrest, the team moved to a local park. The St. Louis Rams organization noticed them then invited the McCluer North football team to practice at their indoor facility. The team was very grateful and used football to stay focused!

Michael Brown's Funeral

On August 9, 2014, 18 year-old Michael Brown Jr. was shot and killed by a Ferguson police officer. Today, August 25th, thousands of others from all around the country gathered to commemorate the life of Michael Brown.

Bikers Help Brown Family

Michael Brown's funeral on August 25th attracted thousands of diverse people, including Javis Taylor and his biker crew. The crew escorted the Brown family and friends to the cemetery following the funeral.

Dream Debt

This film is about a young man (Urics King) who owes another man (Harry Ballard) money. The films starts in Harry's room while he is asleep until awoken by an alarm clock, he wakes up and goes through his daily routine. Harry calls Urics to tell him, he owes him money. The next time he calls, Urics' phone is disconnected. A day goes on and Harry is hanging around the neighborhood, but someone catches his eye. It was Urics. He sneaks up on Urics and repeatedly hits him with a club. Harry flees the scene and goes to his house where he is much depressed because of his actions. The police come to his door, banging and yelling "we know you are in there!"
